Soooooo much good stuff in this one. Thanks for taking the time to put it together. It’s helping me get through a fucked up morning.
Ah, “Radio Silence” is one of my favorite punk tracks. Good lookin’ out, can’t wait to listen to this.
Another good one, nice to have podcasting company.
Nice to see the Dicks on here..the word from Gary is the March 30th show in Austin,Tx will be the last one ever..sad
Hell yeah! Love the site and the podcast. I’m just starting my own site, check out -

Hope you don’t mind the plug
Wish there were a way to get JUST that NNB track.
Excellent! Thanks!
Glad you guys like this. I’m enjoying putting these together, more so than the usual posts. This may be the future for me…
Peter - you can check out a nice rip of “Slack” on Bob Mould’s site
Scott - just to say your weekly podcast rocks. I’ve obviously modeled mine on yours. Royalty check is in the mail!
Swell podcast, thanks for assembling. Keep it up.
Hey man, your blog kicks fuckin’ ass. Just discovered your podcast, and the first one rocks…just a question, do you normalize the volume of your tracks before you lay them down?
There’s a nice free tool called Mp3gain (http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/index.php) that non-destructively lets you normalize all your trax, and it really helps to create cohesive-sounding ‘cast. Very easy to use and indispensable IMHPOV. Chiggity check it out sometime.
Gin Mill, nicely done.
Eric — this is great. I’m leaning towards these too. If I do one, I’ll owe you a royalty check!
Hey, Eric
Thanks for calling that to my attention. Much appreciated. Went a few pages back on his 2004 archives and harvested a couple other nuggets, chief among them, THE SUBURBS’ “World War III.” Quite primo “‘Cause God said….kneeeeeeel yewwww bassssstards.” Kind of made my day ‘tween that and the NNB track, which yes, did stand for “No Name Band.” Old roommate of mine played bass in them and once upon a time I had a stack of them. Collector scum who shall remain nameless paid a premium for the last three I had too.
Cheers!
This is a rude mix, i’ve been listening to this at work !!Head phones nice n loud !!
411 reminds me of my skateboarding days !!
I really like Huns into Fear.
Rockin !!

Hi, Eric! Who’s playing the Husker’s cover in the radio’s theme? Is that Hammerhead?
Love this podcast session!
Yep- that’s Hammerhead covering Something I Learned Today in the intro
Thank you for reminding me that years and years later, I *still* love listening to “Trial” at ear-splitting volume. thanks!
