Nervous Eaters

A quick and dirty one due to being all pressured up, this is the second single by Boston’s Nervous Eaters. Recorded in 1976 but not released until 1979, this single is a raw rock’n'roll classic. Both tracks here have been comped plenty of places, for obvious reasons. Far and away their best material For more info check the band’s webpage, and this writeup at Boston Rock Pages

Such a great single. Mine’s on a label from spain or portugal (?) that I think has reissued a few of their records.
I remember being like 9 years old and playing with the radio dial and hearing this band name somewhere way over to the left. I probably accidentally found WFMU in NJ, but all I remember was hearing the name the Nervous Eaters, some cover of “WHy Don’t We Do it in the Road?”, and what I now believe was The Damned’s version of “Ca Plane Pour Moi”. Thanks for posting this I was always curious what they sounded like.
Penniville put out a wonderful double album “Eaterville vol.1″ in 2005. Well worth the search, full of gems, even unrealesed, gatefold sleeve, lots of infos.
goddamn is this a classic. I’m very lucky to own an original copy of this record. I got it in 1979.
I’ve also gotta cover of ‘Just Head’ by The Vikings, who were Steve Baise (Devil Dogs) with Euroboy ‘n Happy Tom from Turbonegro…
