Father’s Day Revisited
Somewhere along the way I forgot today was Father’s Day so I’m going to take the lazy way out and just point you to the two posts I made last year for Father’s Day. For convenience, I’ve reactivated the songs here:
Descendents - My Dad Sucks.mp3
Angry Samoans - My Old Man’s A Fatso.mp3 (Inside My Brain version)
Dicks - Rich Daddy.mp3
Nomeansno - Dad.mp3
Didjits - Dad.mp3
And some bonus tracks:
Frantix - My Dad Is A Fucking Alcoholic.mp3
sludgy Colorado(?) punk, included on KBD #6
Alice Donut - Lisa’s Father.mp3
Only Alice Donut could conceive and execute this operetta based on child sex abuse. From Bucketfuls of Sickness and Horror In An Otherwise Meaningless Life

hmmmm… you forgot “Mad Man” by D.R.I.
Yeah, Frantix was from Denver. Later became the Fluid.
After hearing Dad I had to go back and listen to some nomeansno, and do a quick check on them. I was amazed to find that Wrong and the LPs before don’t seem to be in print. Can that be right?
The Alice Donut song Lisa’s Father is a word for word audio dramatization of a Chick Publications pamphlet. These mostly ubsurd ultra conservative Christian comics are to be found at bus stops, phone booths and the like.A pretty classy way of the Donuts to provide a more serious study of the comic book!I have a lot of friends who collect the Chick pub. comics as they afford hours of side splitting entertainment.
