Year End List Done Right
It may be all the cough syrup that’s slowing me down, but I finally got around to checking some other sites. Low and behold, I found a quality year end list without all the usual suspects. Frank over at No One Here Is Asking has a great list chock full aggressive music (translate - metal!) and tons of links and songs. This makes me realize how little new shit I bought, and how embarrassing my ‘Best of 2004′ list would look.
Seriously, stop over and take a look

Thanks for this post. More metal is good!
I just listened to the new Kreator album, “Enemy of God,” and it’s awesome.
Here is a top 10 cds of 2004 spiel I wrote for my job:

Dave… only have 2 of those 10 you listed (Mastodon and Marked Men) and both would be in my top 10-15. Well, Mastodon would be close to the top. Raising the bar indeed, an excellent band with a couple of former Rochester guys (Bill and Brann)
Glad you liked the list…
Also wanted to say that it was so refreshing finding your site after seeing so many music blogs checking the same bands and same music. It was great to stumble across a site that had posts of songs as varied (and uncovered on other sites) as Hammerhead, Big Boys, and NoMeansNo. Keep it up, and thanks for the support!
